History
The red gate to the east leads to the Sheep Head Street. You leave the beguinage if you take this gate.
With the exception of the Ditch Side Street, the Sheep Head Street is the youngest part of the beguinage. Only in 1690, the beguines bought this former orchard and extended the beguinage in northern direction.
Murder tip
If someone went through the other gate at the Ditch Side Street, you would see him pass here.
At least if he went in the direction of the centre of Lier.
