History
The green door to the south shows the word "Infirmerij", an old flemish word for "hospital". This was its main entrance.
To the east, there is a simple gate which leads to the Sheep Head Street, outside the beguinage.
The street to the west allows you to walk around the pieta and get a view of the beguine houses at the back of the Calvaire Hill Street.
Murder tip
Sometimes it pays to drill down until you reach the place you want to investigate. This is especially true for the many little corners found in this beguinage.
