HistoryThe house number 4, St-Merten (St Martin) had a facade directed to the church. In 1765, the house was partially rebuilt and the facade now faces the Wezenstraat. Part of the house was used as a school in the 19th century. The other side of the street shows a typical row of beguine houses made out of brick and sandstone. They are hedged from the street by front gardens, closed by a brick wall painted white with a black plinth.

Murder tipBeing a good police inspector, your mind begins to put things in perspective. "Let's see, the murder must have happened at around 13 o'clock. What events took place before 13 o'clock, during the murder, and afterwards?" Perhaps it would be a good idea to write down the time line. And to indicate a few crucial time points. |
